Game Report: Blues 5, Ducks 1

The Bucks went into the All-Star break and their bye week on a high note Wednesday night with a win over the Ducks in Anaheim.

Zach Sanford and Tyler Bozak returned to the lineup and each scored a goal to help the Blues reach the break with a .500 record of 22-22-5.

The Blues held the Ducks to a season-low 13 shots on goal. Jordan Binnington got the win, bouncing back from a loss on Monday against the Kings. He raised his record to 5-1-1.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period, with Vladimir Tarasenko scoring his 17th goal of the season, before the goals from Sanford and Oskar Sundqvist gave them a 3-1 lead after the second period. It was Sundqvist’s 10th goal of the season.

Bozak and Sammy Blais scored rhe final Blues’ goals in the third period as they out-shot the Ducks 32-13.

Looking ahead: The Blues won’t play again until Feb. 2, in Columbus. Ryan O’Reilly will represent the team in Sunday’s All-Star game in San Jose.
