The Missouri Tigers did not expect any problems against outmanned Southeast Missouri on Saturday night, which proved to be exactly what happened.
The Tigers roared to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter, getting touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams, en route to a 50-0 win in Columbia.
Larry Rountree III rushed for his first of two touchdowns, Cale Garrett returned an interception for a touchdown and Richaud Floyd returned a punt for a touchdown, all in the game’s first 15 minutes.
Kelly Bryant also passed for a touchdown as Missouri improved to 2-1 on the season.
Rountree rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries in the first half as Missouri built a 37-0 lead. The Tigers outgained Southeast Missouri 344-53 in the first half and rolled up a 501-to-94 advantage for the game with Rountree finishing with 142 yards on 18 carries.
Bryant completed 12 of 16 passes for 192 yards in the first half and finished his day 15-of-20 for 225 yards.
The Tigers figure to be in for a much tougher test next Saturday, when they open their SEC schedule at home against South Carolina.
