Tarasenko has goal, two assists to help Blues snap four-game losing streak

The Blues needed a big game out of Vladimir Tarasenko on Monday night, and that’s just what they got.

Tarasenko scored one goal and assisted on the Blues other two goals in a 3-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche at Enterprise Center that snapped their four-game losing streak.

David Perron’s goal at 5:07 of the second period broke a 1-1 tie before Tarasenko gave the Blues an insurance goal with his third goal of the season 10 minutes later.

The Blues’ first goal came from Brayden Schenn, his sixth of the season, on a power play.

The Blues held the Avalanche to just 18 shots on goal, with Jordan Binnington allowing only a first-period goal from Nathan MacKinnon, also on a power play.

Looking ahead: The Blues will host the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night to wrap up a four-game homestand.
