The question now for the Missouri Tigers is whether Saturday’s win over Arkansas was enough for coach Barry Odom to keep his job.
The Tigers snapped their five-game losing streak with the 24-14 win over the Razorbacks, who went winless in the SEC, in Little Rock.
The win allowed the Tigers to finish the year with a 6-6 record. They found out earlier this week that even with a win, which normally would have made them eligible for a bowl game, they would not be going because of an NCAA penalty.
Odom completed his fourth season as Missouri’s coach with a 25-25 record.
Missouri trailed 14-10 early in the third quarter before Tyler Badie scored on a 3-yard run later in the quarter to take the lead. They scored an insurance touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard pass from Taylor Powell to Jonathan Nance.
Powell came into the game to replace freshman Connor Bazelak, who made his first career start but was knoced out of the game in the second quarter because of an injury.
Bazelak was starting in place of Kelly Bryant, who did not play because of a knee injury.
