Blues roar back from 3-0 deficit with four goals in third period to stun Blackhawks

The Blues saved their best for the last period on Saturday night.

Trailing the Chicago Blackhawks 3-0 early in the third period, the Blues stormed back with four goals in the final 16 minutes of the game to pull out a 4-3 win at Enterprise Center.

Tyler Bozak started the comeback with back-to-back goals, scoring the first at 4:40 of the final period. Still, the Blues were behind 3-1 with less than seven minutes to go in the game before Bozak scored again to cut the Chicago lead to 3-2.

Just 12 seconds after Bozak’s second goal, Jacob de la Rose tied the game with his seconds goal for the Blues with 6:40 seconds left in regulation.

Justin Faulk broke the tie with the game-winning goal with 2:26 left in regulation. Robert Thomas earned the assist, his third of the period.

The Blackhawks scored the only goal of the game in the first two periods before increasing their lead to 3-0 with a pair of goals early in the final period. The comeback was the biggest for the Blues in a game this season. The four goals came in a span of 12:54.

The Blues will host Colorado on Monday night.
