The Blues got just what they needed on Tuesday night – a home game.
Playing at Enterprise Center for the first time since Jan. 15, the Blues got two goals each from Brayden Schenn and Zach Sanford in a 6-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
The win game the Blues at least one point in their last 11 home games (10-0-1) and came after playing five consecutive games on the road in which they went 1-4, with the only win coming in a shootout.
It was the Blues first win in regulation in the last seven games.
In addition to Schenn and Sanford, the Blues got a big night from Ryan O’Reilly, who assisted on three goals. Schenn also assisted on a goal, registering his first three-point game of the season.
Sammy Blais and Colton Parayko scored the other goals for the Blues, who blew the game open with four goals in the second period. They extended the lead to 6-1 early in the third period before two late goals by the Hurricanes.
The Blues remain home, hosting the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night in their next game.
