Adam Wainwright makes it official: He plans to play baseball next year

Update: Adam Wainwright used his creativity to make the announcement that he plans to play baseball in the 2022 season.  The one thing that still remains to be seen is where he will play. With the recent signing of Yadier Molina fans have been waiting for Wainwright’s decision about whether he will return for another season. So now we know he’s plans to play baseball and will wait to find out where.

Adam Wainwright just teased that he will be breaking some news with a big announcement on Tuesday. Throughout the season the question has been flying around him: will he be back in 2022? He has publicly expressed his interest in broadcasting if he is not playing. He plans to tell the fans what his plans are at 5 p.m. central time.

Wainwright will be making his announcement through his Big League Impact website.

Big League Impact was founded in 2013 byWainwright and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The website days, Big League Impact reflects “the beliefs of family, friends and supporters that we are citizens of a global community who ought to care for one another. We are only strangers when we see the needs of others and do not act.”

Their website also goes on to tell about Wainwright:

A two-time World Series champion, three-time All-Star, two-time Gold Glover, a Silver Slugger, and the 2020 Roberto Clemente Award winner, Adam’s accomplishments on the field are only rivaled by his heart off of it.
