LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 17,  2022

Tyler O'Neill was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth inning Tuesday night, giving the Cardinals a 5-4 walkoff win over the Rockies at Busch Stadium. Tommy Edman and Paul Goldschmidt homered, with Goldschmidt's blast his 29th of the season. His three RBIs, including a sacrifice fly, increased his season total to 92.

Jordan Montgomery will get the start tonight in the second game of the series. He has not allowed a run in his first two starts for the Cardinals, covering 11 innings.
