Rob Rains Cardinals Podcast: Conversation with Ned Reynolds, Springfield Cardinals TV announcer

We were in Springfield to check out the Springfield Cardinals and got the chance to visit with Ned Reynolds.  For those who live or have spent time in Springfield, no explanation needed for Reynolds who spent many years as the KY3 Sports Director and is still connected in the media with both a radio show– The Sports Reporters– on Jock 96.9 and he does the play-by-play for the Springfield Cardinals televised games.

If you are reading this and just learning about Ned Reynolds, he is a longtime fan favorite and a legendary broadcaster. Rob Rains gets the pleasure of appearing on his show with Scott Puryear in Springfield fairly often.

Ned has watched players as they developed when they were at the Double A level and we wanted to get his ideas as to why there are so many great players on the big club but for some reason they are not having the success fans would have thought.

They met up in the lobby of the Drury Hotel in Springfield.
