ABOUT US

STLSportsPage.com– a free, quick-loading, mobile-friendly website —features veteran baseball writer Rob Rains covering the Cardinals on a daily basis, with game stories, features, audio and video. There are also articles about local food and entertainment as well as travel and health.  The site was started in 2012 by sports writer / author Rob Rains and Sally Tippett Rains, a former sports reporter / producer for KMOX Radio in St. Louis. The site was started as a supplement to a radio show Rob Rains and his son, B.J. Rains did in St. Louis in 2012 but it quickly grew beyond expectations and when the show ended due to station format change, the advertisers were all asked if they wanted to stay on. Most said yes and none of them have left.

Sally and Rob Rains: 2021 Citizens of the Year

In 2021- Rob and Sally Rains were named “Citizens of the Year” for their charity work through Rainbows for Kids working with Watson Trails Park to build a wheel chair accessible playground.

The Rainses have run Rainbows for Kids since their family started it in 1999. They are volunteers as are all involved with the charity.

In 2019 as part of their 20th Anniversary they decided to investigate the possibility of helping build a wheel chair accessible playground.  Using charitable donations to Rainbows for Kids in memory of their parents, Margie and Jack Tippett as seed money to get the development for the playground started.
