What to do in St. Louis this week; Baseball, Festivals and Events Fall 2019

There is always a lot to do in and around the St. Louis area. Here are a few things we found and put together.

Six Flags St. Louis Fright Fest | Now – November 3

It’s a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over Six Flags. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a truly frightening evening of fun after the sun goes down. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including several haunted houses and scare zones located throughout the park. The stuff of nightmares lurk around every corner as the dark of night washes over the park. The ghouls are set free for their daily hunting rituals

The Best of Missouri Market | October 4 – 6

More than 120 food producers and crafters offer baked goods, fresh and dried flowers, herbs, handcrafted items, baskets, wooden toys, custom jewelry and more will be at the Missouri Botanical Garden for their annual Best of the Missouri Market. Enjoy live music and a kids’ corner with crafts and fall activities, too!

Grove Fest | October 5

The fun, independent, wild, eclectic yearly festival in the Grove neighborhood will return for its 12th year. This family friendly event will feature a kids zone, street performers, live music, and amazing food and drinks from local Grove businesses. If you’re in the mood to shop there will be no shortage of crafts, fashion, and art for purchase from local artist and vendors.

Historic Shaw Art Fair | October 5 – 6

Check out art from 135 exhibitors as you stroll along the Historic Shaw district at the Shaw Art Fair. Admire the surrounding architecture, walk your dog, enjoy fare from food vendors and bring the kids for fun in the activity tent. Proceeds benefit the Shaw Neighborhood Improvement Association.

Hermann Oktoberfest | October 5 – 28

Weekends in October, Hermann Oktoberfest will include German food, live music, winery tours, beer and more at the Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, MO. Held every weekend in October, the Hermann Oktoberfest has become a beloved tradition for thousands throughout the Midwest. It’s time to celebrate a beautiful time of year in Missouri’s most beautiful town.

Brookdale Farms–  The Guinness Certified ‘World’s Largest Bounce House’ Set to Inflate in St. Louis, October 4th – October 13th The Big Bounce America Tour Rolls into the Gateway City with a 10,000 Square-Ft Bounce House, a 900 ft-Long Inflatable Obstacle Course, and Much Much More! 


The most action-packed experience of 2019 will be in St. Louis, Missouri from Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 13th at Eureka’s Brookdale Farm. The 5th Annual Brew in The Lou | October 12

Brew in the Lou showcases St. Louis’ best beer, wine, spirits, coffee and good eats.  Proceeds benefit the Lutheran Elementary School Association’s 35 member schools serving 9,000 students.  Festivities include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, the “People’s Choice” Home Brew, Bratwurst and Chili Contest, and special food exhibits.

Prost! | October 12

Prost! is Maplewood’s to local beer and fare. On October 12, guests are able to enjoy a self-guided tour of St. Louis’ regionally produced beers through the streets of Historic Downtown Maplewood featuring tastings, food pairings, and chats with local brewers.

St. Louis Brewers Guild Halloween Party | October 26

What better way to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve than a beer festival? The St. Louis Brewers Guild Halloween party features breweries from throughout the St. Louis region pouring samples of what they do best, the International Tap House costume contest, live music, great food, the Saint Louis Hop Shop Haunted Hay red, and more, all in historic Lafayette Park.  You can purchase tickets at the St. Louis Brewers Guild’s website.

The Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival | October 27 – 28

The Apple Butter Festival Kimmswick is the largest celebration Kimmswick has annually drawing over 100,000 visitors. Come enjoy the small town ambiance, stroll through their streets lined with 500 – 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town including bluegrass, country rock, and dulcimer music.

St. Louis International Film Festival | November 7 – 17

The 27th Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival showcases the very best in cutting-edge features and shorts from around the globe. The majority of the more than 400+ films screened – many of them critically lauded award-winners – will receive their only St. Louis exposure at the festival.
