Three home-runs for the Memphis Redbirds including this controversial one

It was a big night in Memphis as the Redbirds beat the Gwinett Stripers of the Atlanta Braves franchise by the score of 8-2 on Saturday night.  Jordan Walker hit a three- run homer and a triple and Luken Baker hit his 31st homer of the year Saturday night.

The main reason for posting this was– we posted the photo above– taken from the press box so not the best quality– but it was Walker celebrating his home run at home plate and when we tried to post it on Facebook they “covered” it. It was quite controversial when they listed it as a “violent” post and many of our readers messaged us, wondering what the “violent” content was.

We took a photo of Jordan Walker celebrating his home run by slapping five with both hands to a teammate at home plate. Facebook or Instagram must have thought it was a “fight” because they “covered” (their words) the photo and said it had “violent” content.

We just wanted to let our readers know it was a happy photo of Walker celebrating his home run in Memphis Saturday night. Walker smashed a 434-foot homer for his eighth long ball of the season for Triple-A Memphis.

The photo, left is Luken Baker crossing home plate after hitting his bomb.

Matt Koperniak for the Redbirds also got a homer, so there were fireworks all around. And it was fireworks night at AutoZone Park.

The starting picture was Zack Thompson but Ryan Schreve got the win for the Redbirds, and Hayden Harris took the loss for the Stripers.

It was Memphis Red Sox night honoring the Negro Leagues team that played in Memphis. It was their largest night crowd of the season.
