What to do For Memorial Day Weekend 2025

Memorial Day 2025 is celebrated Monday May 25, to honor the courage, sacrifice and enduring legacy of men and women who gave their lives in service to their country There will be various ceremonies around the Greater St. Louis Area and if you would like yours listed here, please email us at: Rains@STLSportsPage.com.

Memorial Day Ceremonies:

  • Jefferson Barracks: Monday, May 26, 2025. Hours: 10 am., Area: South County Address:2900 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO, Memorial Day service on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (local time). The event will be held at the cemetery. In addition, the Gravois Trail (Scouts)District will hold a Memorial Day Good Turn ceremony on Sunday, May 25th, at 10:30 am. 
  • Soldiers Memorial on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event will include a wreath-laying ceremony, a keynote address, and a musical tribute, honoring fallen service members. The event is open to the public.

Parades

Belleville: 2025 Memorial Day Parade

The City of Belleville, Illinois continues the tradition of the Memorial Day Parade, and this year it will be on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 10am.  The Parade starts at North 3rd & West ‘A’ Street; east on Main to Mascoutah Avenue; Mascoutah Avenue to Walnut Hill Cemetery.  The Memorial Day Ceremony will take place after the parade at 11am at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

During Memorial Day weekend 2025, Grant’s Farm will be open for its regular weekend hours, which are 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, May 24th, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 25th.

Return of “Summer Nights”- Band and Drone Show— Fridays, Saturdays, and select Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day, join friends, family, or that potential special someone in the Bauernhof Courtyard. And settle in for an evening of great food, cold drinks, live music, and a spectacular drone show.

St. Louis County Greek Festival Returns

May 23 to 26

Opa! The St. Louis County Greek Festival returns to Town & Country with live music, folk dancing, Greek cuisine and a vendor market. Held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, visitors can also join church tours in between bites of spanakopita and baklava.

Magic house Kick-Off to Summer

May 23

The Magic House will welcome summer with the opening of Sandcastle Beach this Friday. Take a stroll along the boardwalk, search for seashells in the sand and watch the creation of a 65-ton sandcastle! The special event will also feature the Bubble Bus from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and free ice cream from Prairie Farms while supplies last.

City Museum

City Museum has free admission for retired and active military all weekend as well Fri-Mon plus discounts for their family members.

Note from the Zoo: The Zoo is open for regular hours after several days of storm cleanup. Some attractions and habitats including the Zooline Railroad and River’s Edge area of the Zoo are temporarily closed but should reopen later this week (in time for Memorial Day) The Butterfly Wing is closed for repair.
