WELDON SPRING, MO — St. Louis Cardinals standout Brendan Donovan is teaming up with Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) to launch the inaugural Brendan Donovan Charity Clay Shoot, taking place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the prestigious Strathalbyn Farms Club in Weldon Spring, Missouri.
The event will bring together Donovan, some of his Cardinals teammates, and local celebrities for an unforgettable day of clay shooting, camaraderie, and community. All proceeds from the event will benefit Team RWB, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching Veterans’ lives through health and wellness programs that foster strong personal and community connections.
“I’m incredibly proud and honored to announce my partnership with Team RWB for the upcoming charity clay shoot on August 7,” said Donovan. “This organization does truly vital work, enriching the lives of Veterans through health and wellness programming. I believe it’s our duty to give back to those who have given so much for our country.”
Donovan’s commitment to the military community is rooted in personal experience. Born in Germany while his father served in the U.S. Army, Donovan has long advocated for Veterans and their families. Earlier this year, he was named a finalist for the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, which honors Major League Baseball players who demonstrate commitment to service and the military.
Donovan’s performance for the Cardinals has been equally impressive. Through 71 games this season, he has been the best 2nd Basemen in the National League out of qualified hitters, ranking first (as of June 24) in Hits, Extra Base Hits, Batting Average, On Base Percentage, Slugging Percentage, OPS, and WAR. He continues to shine as a presence in the heart of the Cardinals’ lineup and is a rising leader both on and off the field.
“We’re fired up to partner with Brendan Donovan for this incredible event,” said Mike Erwin, Executive Director of Team RWB. “Brendan represents the very best of what it means to serve something bigger than yourself. His deep, personal connection to the military and his passion for giving back make him an outstanding teammate in our mission to support America’s Veterans.”
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, including Presenting ($25,000), Champion ($10,000), and Station ($2,000) levels. Team and individual shooter entries are also open, with a four-person team entry priced at $1,500 and individual spots available for $500.
