LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2026

The Cardinals beat the Marlins 3-2 on Monday in Jupiter on a walk-off single in the ninth inning by Colton Ledbetter, one of the players acquired in the trade that sent Brendan Donovan to the Mariners. Yohel Pozo also had an RBI and scored a run.

Jurrangelo Cijntje, also obtained in that trade, was one of 11 players re-assigned to the minor-league camp in the first roster cuts of the spring. He needs to build up innings to be ready for the start of the minor league season.

The Cardinals will have their first of two days off this spring today before hosting the Nicaragua team from the World Baseball Classic in an exhibition game on Wednesday.
