Stan Musial and Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier are both longtime St. Lous favorites

Cardinals fans heading to Spring Training in Florida can score some free chocolate, in a chocolate bar that has two famous St. Louis names on it: Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier and Stan Musial. Both are St. Louis favorites.
Just visit the new Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier Palm Beach store during Spring Training, wearing your Cardinals gear and receive a free Stan the Man chocolate bar.
Cardinals fans Bob and Barb Siebens and John and Mary Jo O’Connell of Chesterfield, Missouri had Bissinger’s in Palm Beach as one of  their first stop when they got to Spring Training this year.
The Stan Musial Bar which retails for $8 each is a chocolate bar which has pretzels in it for the ballpark feel along with milk chocolate and caramel. The rich chocolatey flavor combines with the saltiness of the pretzels and the caramel flavor to make one delicious piece of candy.
What could be better than Bissinger’s milk chocolate, buttery caramel and crunchy pretzels? Making you hungry? Time to check out Bissinger’s whether you are in St. Louis or Pal Beach.

The free offer of the candy bar is only available at the new Palm Beach location, 251 Royal Poinciana Way– during the 2026 Spring Training season, and you must be wearing your Cardinals clothes to qualify.

Stop by and get your Stan Musial bar and check out all the other candy they have. Bissinger’s has long been a standard in St. Louis and now the Palm Beach crowd can experience it.. There are no ordinary chocolates in Bissinger’s, each one is like a party in itself.

They would also be great souvenirs. If you are visiting Spring Traning, bring back some Stan Musial bars for your family and friends.

We talked to Dana Dean, spokesman for Bissinger’s  who told us, “The Stan Musial bars are in St. Louis stores– Plaza Frontenac, St. Louis Galleria, and Candy Kitchen on the Hill ( 5025 Pattison Ave.) and are available online as well. We have had them for about two years..”

Bissinger’s rich history of candy craftsmanship has endured for over 350 years, as they were once the confectioner to the King of France and European nobility. The Bissinger’s name has been one of the longest standing names in the confectionery industry.
Some years later, in 1845, Karl Bissinger would leave France, bringing his loyal master candy maker and all of the Bissinger family secrets to the United States. He settled just outside of Cincinnati, where he opened the very first Bissinger’s kitchen in America. In 1927, his son, also named Karl, would carry on the Bissinger’s tradition, opening his own kitchen in St. Louis–the city our company still calls home. Their head candy maker is the 3rd Generation direct lineage to Karl Bissinger’s candy maker from France.
To this day, they remain a family owned business with a true appreciation and love for chocolate. Dan Abel Jr., Chief Chocolate Officer, shown left, and his family bought the candy chain a few years ago.
“My parents started Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate in 1981, and my brother, sister, and I were all born after that,” Abel, Jr. told St. Louis Magazine. “I’ve never known anything else.”
So in 2019 it was a natural for the Abel family to acquire Bissinger’s. Both companies believe in handmade over automation, precision details, and using good and sustainable ingredients.
Abel said the company realized they had a good following in Palm Beach and looked into expanding.
“We kept seeing online orders come from Palm Beach,” he said. “We knew we had a following here. When we looked into a national retail expansion, opening a boutique on the island was a no brainer.”
While Cardinals fans will love the Stan Musial candy, they have many other artistic designed chocolates including their St. Patrick’s Day  Shamrock Cookies.

They also have an array of Easter-themed candy.

The Palm Beach store is new, having just opened in September of 2025. This is the company’s first location outside of its headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, marking a major milestone in its national retail expansion strategy.

“We’ve long felt the love from Palm Beach and we are very excited with this new boutique for our customers,” said Abel, Jr.

The boutique features an elevated chocolate experience, including a candy case, boxed chocolates, seasonal confections and exclusive confections created specifically for the Palm Beach location.
