TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2026

Joshua Baez homered for the third game in a row on Monday to help the Cardinals to a 7-2 win over the Orioles in Jupiter - but then was one of the players optioned to the minor leagues after the game. Also sent down were pitchers Quinn Mathews and Brycen Mautz.

The homer from Baez was one of four hit by the Cardinals, with JJ Wetherholt hitting his second of the spring and Chase Davis homering twice. Matthew Liberatore worked five innings with seven strikeouts and no walks.

The Cardinals plan to go with a bullpen game today against the Mets in Port St. Lucie.
