LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2026

The Cardinals bullpen blew a three-run lead in the eighth inning Monday night, allowing three homers in a six-run inning that gave the Nationals a 9-6 win in Washington. The first homer came off Ryne Stanek and tied the game before Matt Svanson allowed two more homers. Jordan Walker and Ramon Urias homered for the Cardinals.

Matthew Liberatore will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
