LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

TUESDAY, JUNE 16, 2026

Dustin May was perfect for six innings and finished with a one-hitter Monday night as the Cardinals beat the Padres 3-0 at Busch Stadium. Fernando Tatis Jr. walked leading off the seventh before Manny Machado got the only hit two batters later. It was the fourth one-hitter for the Cardinals in the history of Busch 3.

Jimmy Crooks doubled in two runs in the fourth and Alec Burleson extended his hitting streak to a career-high 15 games with an RBI double in the fifth.

Andre Pallante will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
