LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

MONDAY, AUG. 15,  2022

Albert Pujols hit his second homer of the game after Dylan Carlson hit a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning on Sunday to send the Cardinals to a 6-3 win over the Brewers at Busch Stadium. The win increased the Cardinals' division lead to 1 1/2 games over the Brewers.

It was the first two-homer game at Busch for Pujols since June 4, 2011 and was the 12th of his career, the most in stadium history. He now has 10 homers this season and 689 in his career.

After a day off on Monday, the Cardinals will host the Rockies in a three-game series beginning on Tuesday night.
