LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2026

The Cardinals got home runs from Jordan Walker and Nathan Church to rally from a 5-2 deficit, then got RBI doubles from Thomas Saggese and JJ Wetherholt in the 10th inning on Tuesday night to earn a 7-6 win over the Nationals in Washington.

Walker hit his third homer in the first five games of the road trip and fourth of the season before Church broke an 0-of-22 streak with his homer in the eighth that tied the game.

Michael McGreevy will get the start today in the final game of the series and the roadtrip. Former Cardinal Miles Mikolas will start for the Nationals.
