THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2026 

Jordan Walker homered for the third game in a row and the fourth time in his last five games as the Cardinals defeated the Nationals 6-1 on Wednesday in Washington. Alec Burleson had three hits and drove in three runs to back the pitching of Michael McGreevy, who allowed only four hits over six innings.

Walker is tied for the NL lead with five homers in the first 12 games of the season.

After a day off today, the Cardinals will host the Red Sox this weekend at Busch Stadium.
