LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2026

Alec Burleson drove in three runs with a pair of hits with runners in scoring position off left-hander MacKenzie Gore to send the Cardinals to a 5-3 win over the Rangers on Wednesday night at Busch Stadium, avoiding being swept in the three-game series. It also was a good night for Jordan Walker, who had three hits, scored three runs and stole a base.

The Cardinals will have the day off today before the Reds come to town on Friday night. Lars Nootbaar is expected back in the lineup for his season-debut after ending his minor-league rehab assignment on Wednesday in Memphis with a home run, two hits and four RBIs.
