A two-base error by Dane Myers on what should have been the final out of the game opened the door for the Cardinals to score six runs in the ninth inning Thursday in Cincinnati. They needed all of them as the Reds scored four in the bottom of the ninth before the Cardinals could complete a 10-9 victory.

The wild inning included two pinch-hits from Jose Fermin, the second driving in two runs. The win came after the Cardinals had blown a 4-0 lead when Ryne Stanek served up a grand slam in the sixth inning. Jordan Walker hit a three-run homer for the Cardinals, his 26th of the season.

The road trip will continue tonight with the first of three games against the Phillies in Philadrlphia.
