MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026

Matthew Liberatore pitched out of first-inning jam then worked into the sixth inning to help the Cardinals to a 5-1 win over the Cubs on Sunday night at Busch Stadium. Liberatore gave up hits to the first two batters of the game, but allowed only one more hit and a walk before coming out of the game. Michael McGreevy will get the start tonight as the Cardinals open a three-game series against the Texas Rangers, managed by former Cardinal Skip Schumaker.
