LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

SATURDAY, SEPT. 5, 2026

Ivan Herrera hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning that gave the Cardinals a 7-6 win over the Rockies on Friday night in Denver. The Cardinals had blown a 4-1 lead and were losing 6-4 going to the ninth before a walk and a throwing error put two runners on base in front of Herrera's game-flipping homer.

Jordan Walker drove in his 100th RBI of the season as Andre Pallante returned from the injured list, allowing one run over five innings.

Matthew Liberatore will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
