The Cardinals were held to just two infield hits, one a bunt single, and lost 4-0 to the Marlins on Friday night at Busch Stadium. Michael McGreevy worked six shutout innings before Miami broke up the scoreless game with two runs against the bullpen in the eighth.

John Mozeliak, the former president of baseball operations of the Cardinals who retired last year, was hired by the Angels on Friday as their interim general manager after firing their GM.
