Day One of the Winter Warm-Up is is in the books. It opens again tomorrow (Sunday) The event takes place at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, 315 Chestnut Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63102.
- Sun., Jan 20th from 9 am – 5 pm
- Mon., Jan 21st from 9 am – 3 pm
One of the highlights of the first day was John Mozeliak, President of Baseball Operations of the St. Louis Cardinals on the main stageKI
. The room was packed, both for the autographs of the players who were signing at the time and also to hear what Mozeliak had to say. Afterwards he spoke to the media:
John Mozeliak:
Fun for the Kiddies too
There are several sections of the event including, the main room with autographs and the speeches and discussions, the vendor area, food area, and kids room. The kids room is filled with inflatables. They also hosted several “shows” of local youth singing and dancing in that area. It’s a great place to let the kids run around, but a word to the wise is if you bring small children, go to the areas you want to see first because the kids area is so fun for them, they might not want to leave (or you might tire them out.)
Kip Ingle holds a copy of “All Roads Lead to St. Louis” which he has for sale at his booth
Vendors
The room with the sports collectibles and vendors is an adventure in itself. The Cardinals have booths where you can buy tickets, publications, authentics, and then there are vendors who sell everything you can imagine pertaining to the St. Louis Cardinals– and more. Rob Rains’ new book “All Roads Lead to St. Louis; A Guide to the Cardinals and their Minor Leagues” is on sale at the Kip Ingle & Associates booth.
