The Blues’ overtime magic finally ran out on Tuesday night.
After winning their last seven games, including five in overtime, the Blues saw that streak snapped with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Arizona Coyotes at Enterprise Center.
The Coyotes scored the only two goals in the shootout to get the win after they had scored a power-play goal early in the third period to tie the game and force overtime.
Jaden Schwartz and Colton Parayko scored for the Blues, with Parayko’s goal – his first of the season – giving them a 2-1 lead late in the second period.
Looking ahead: The Blues go right back on the road for their next game, Friday night against the Blue Jackets in Columbus.
