Game Report: Coyotes 3, Blues 1
The Blues ended 2019 with a disappointing loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday night in Arizona.
Tyler Bozak scored the only goal for the Blues, who saw their season-high eight game winning streak snapped.
The game was tied at 1 before Phil Kessel scored midway through the third period to put the Coyotes in front, and they added an empty-net goal to close out the victory.
The loss could not dampen what was a banner 2019 for the Blues, including winning the franchise’s first Stanley Cup. In the calendar year the Blues finished with 72 wins, the third-most in any calendar year in NHL history.
The Blues’ road trip will continue on Thursday night in Colorado.
