Home winning streak ends at nine games as Blues fall to Flyers in overtime

The Blues hopes of setting a franchise record for most consecutive wins at home came up short on Wednesday night.

After falling behind 3-1 early in the third period the Blues rallied to tie the Philadelphia Flyers at Enterprise Center before losing the game 4-3 in overtime.

The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak at home for the Blues, which tied the franchise record set in 1991. The loss also snapped a four-game overall winning streak.

Goals by Ryan O’Reilly and Alexander Steen midway through the third period pulled the Blues into the tie and gave them one point but they could not finish off the comeback.

Justin Faulk had the Blues’ other goal, in the first period.

The Blues will play in Colorado on Saturday, their final game before their bye-week and the All-Star game.
