Game Report: Blues 5, Flames 4 (shootout)

It took a little extra work but the Blues found a way to snap their three-game losing streak on Tuesday night in Calgary.

The Blues got goals from David Perron and Ryan O’Reilly in the shootout to get the win over the Flames.

Perron also scored his team-leading 22nd goal and had an assist in regulation. Zach Sanford’s goal early in the third period tied the game before it went to overtime.

The Blues also got goals from Alexander Steen and Jaden Schwatz, but Steen also was knocked out of the game because of an upper-body injury.

It was the third consecutive game in which goalie Jordan Binnington allowed four goals.

The win was the first in four shootouts for the Blues this season and also ended their winless streak on the road at five games.

The road trip through western Canada will continue on Friday night in Edmonton.
