Game Report: Jets 5, Blues 2
A late comeback came up short on Saturday night as the Blues closed out a trip across Canada with another loss, this time to the Jets in Winnipeg.
The loss left the Blues with a 1-3 record on the trip to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg, with the only win coming in a shootout.
The Blues have won only one of their last eight road games, dating back to Dec. 27.
After falling behind 3-0, the Blues pulled within 3-2 on third-period goals by Brayden Schenn and Ryan O’Reilly. A shot by Vince Dunn which would have tied the game hit the post, and the Jets then put the game away with two late empty-net goals.
The Blues will return home on Tuesday night to host the Carolina Hurricanes.
