Binnington posts second consecutive shutout as Blues earn 1-0 win over Coyotes

It took 42 shots before the Blues could score a goal on Thursday night, with the goal from Ryan O’Reilly giving the Blues a 1-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes at Enterprise Center.

It was the second consecutive shutout for Jordan Binnington, who had to make only 14 saves in the game. The Blues had held New Jersey to just 17 shots on goal in Binnington’s 3-0 shutout on Tuesday night.

For the game the Blues out-shot the Devils 46-14, including a 19-4 margin in the second period, but could not score until O’Reilly’s goal 12 minutes into the third period.

The goal was only the second by O’Reilly in his last 13 games. This marks the first time the Blues have won consecutive games in more than a month, since Jan. 11-13.

The Blues play in Dallas on Friday night.
