Ivan Herrera hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning that broke a 4-4 tie and gave the Cardinals a 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday night in Phoenix. Arizona had tied the game in the eighth on Corbin Carroll's two-run homer off Luis Gastelum. Riley O'Brien closed out the win to earn his 25th save.

Dustin May will get the start today in the second game of the series.
