The Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s (HDSA) Missouri Chapter is hosting Strike Out HD on Sunday, July 25 at 1:00 PM at Shrewsbury Lanes in Shrewsbury. This is one of the flagship events organized by HDSA’s volunteer-led Chapters and Affiliates nationwide to inspire others to join the fight against Huntington’s disease (HD).
HD is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. This is an important event as we need to raise awareness for a disease that needs more media attention. Today, there are approximately 41,000 symptomatic Americans and 200,000 at-risk of inheriting the disease.
