It’s hard to believe it is less than two months away from Christmas and one month from Hanukkah. The reminder is not to stress the reader out, but to suggest easy, online gifts for any sports fan. Forbes magazine says, “Worldwide shipping delays and other supply-chain issues are causing shortages in seasonal holiday shopping that will last from Halloween to Christmas and beyond.”
Have you been looking at the shelves at the stores? While looking for something specific– trying to find a box of Lorna Doone cookies at the local Schnucks super market we noticed how many brands are missing and the ones that are there are spread out so it looks like the shelves are full. Look carefully the next time you are at the store– any store.
And don’t get us started on the lines at the store. One trip to Walmart will remind you of why you don’t want to go back soon.
But don’t fear– the large sports outlets have most of what you want in stock right now and if you act soon you won’t have to face the trouble of going in the sporting goods store only to find out they are out of what you want.
According to the magazine Supply Chain Worldwide, when it comes to selling sports apparel, Fanatics is all about speed.
“Fulfilling an order quickly differentiates us from the competition,” says Helen Artime, vice president of strategic sourcing at Fanatics Inc. “That makes our customers happy.”
In fact RetailWire.com adds, that Fanatics was able to thrive during COVID-19 when many other companies were having supply chain problems, saying “fast adjustments during the pandemic (helped) deliver record sales and profits in 2020.”
