Mikes Mikolas allowed six runs in five-plus innings and the Cardinals were shut out 6-0 to the Brewers on Thursday at Busch Stadium. The loss dropped the Cardinals to 19 games under .500 for the second time this season.

Catcher Willson Contreras saw his season end after an MRI revealed tendonitis in his left wrist, sending him to the injured list. The only three players who have been on the active roster for the entire season and not gone on the IL are Mikolas, Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado.

Dakota Hudson will get the start tonight as the Cardinals begin their final road trip of the season with the first of three games against the Padres in San Diego.
