Ryan Helsley had to leave Tuesday night's game because of a jammed finger after facing only one batter in the Cardinals' 8-7 10-inning win over the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The decision to take him out of the game was said to be a precautionary move.

The Cardinals rallied froma 7-3 deficit to tie the game in the seventh inning, then won it in the 10th on an RBI single by Juan Yepez, Albert Pujols drove in two runs with a single, his fourth consecurtive multiple-RBI game.

The Cardinals will play the final game of the regular season today, then return home to begin the best-of-three wild-card series on Friday night.
