18-Year-Old LA Queens Player to Become First Woman
Represented in Lester’s Legendary Signed Baseball Collection
A St. Louis hometown baseball champion is coming home — and Lester’s Restaurant is ready to celebrate!
Women’s Pro Baseball League champion and Oakville native Adelaide “Addie” Frank will be honored Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. at Lester’s Restaurant, 9906 Clayton Road, in Ladue, following a history-making inaugural season with the Los Angeles Queens.
As part of the celebration, Frank will add a signed baseball to Lester’s well-known collection of autographed baseballs — becoming the first woman represented in the collection.
And Lester’s is putting a special hometown spin on the celebration.
Owner Pedro Beltranena has created the “Addie Frankfurter,” a special meal honoring the local baseball standout. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Baseball For All, a national nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for girls to play, coach and lead in baseball.
FROM OAKVILLE TO PRO BASEBALL CHAMPION
Drafted by the LA Queens at just 17 years old, Frank is now 18 and among the youngest players in the new Women’s Pro Baseball League and a member of the first championship team in Women’s Pro Baseball League history. Frank, a first baseman, was selected third in the sixth round of the inaugural WPBL draft and hit .333 during the season.
The Queens captured the WPBL’s inaugural championship after a dramatic best-of-five series against the San Francisco Firebells at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. The series went the distance, with Los Angeles winning the deciding Game 5, 2–0, to claim the league’s first title.
Frank is a 2026 graduate of Oakville High School in the Mehlville School District in St. Louis County — making her journey from Oakville to professional baseball champion an especially exciting story for the St. Louis community.

The Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) is the only professional women’s baseball league in the United States. The WPBL successfully completed its historic inaugural 2026 season at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois, marking America’s first women’s professional baseball league since 1954.
