LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

MONDAY, SEPT. 14, 2026 

Alec Burleson's double with the bases loaded in the sixth inning drove in all three runners on Sunday and carried the Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the White Sox at Busch Stadium. The hit increased Burleson's RBI total for the season and moved him ahead of the Reds' Sal Stewart for the MLB RBI lead.

Quinn Mathews will get the start tonight when the Cardinals host the Giants in the opener of a three-game series.
