LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 2026 

JJ Wetherholt hit two home runs but it took an error and a wild pitch with two outs in the ninth to give the Cardinals a chance to tie Tuesday night's game and then win it 6-5 in the 10th inning. Yohel Pozo doubled to tie the game, and Nathan Church hit a sacrifice fly to cap the 6-5 victory.

The Guardians had scored three runs in the eighth off Ryne Stanek to break a 2-2 tie.

Dustin May will get the start in the 12:15 p.m. game today that will wrap up the series and the homestand.
