LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2026

The Cardinals took advantage of two errors by the Reds to score two runs in the eighth inning today, breaking a 3-3 and earning the 5-3 victory that completed a sweep of the three-game series at Busch Stadium. The first runs for the Cardinals came on back-to-back doubles by Alec Burleson and Jordan Walker before Bryan Torres launched a two-run homer.

After a day off on Monday the Cardinals will open a three-game series against the Mets on Tuesday night in New York.
