LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2026

The Cardinals defeated the Astros 7-5 in 10 innings on Sunday to complete a sweep of the three-game series in Houston and extend their winning streak to five games. Masyn Winn's double in the 10th was the game-winning hit, driving in three runs. The Astros had tied the game in the eighth with three runs off JoJo Romero and Riley O'Brien.

The Cardinals are 13-8, their best record after the first 21 games of the season since they also were 13-8 in 2018.

The road trip continues tonight with the first of three games against the Marlins in Miami, Michael McGreevy will get the start.
