THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2026 

The Cardinals were shut out on just three hits through the first eight innings on Wednesday and lost 4-1 to the Marlins in the final game of the series in Miami and of the road trip. After sweeping the Astros the Cardinals lost two of the three games in Miami. Their only run today was a ninth-inning home run by Ivan Herrera.

After a day off today, the Cardinals will open a three-game series against the Mariners on Friday night at Busch Stadium.
