LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2026

Willson Contreras had four hits, including a two-run homer, to lead the Red Sox to a 9-3 win over the Cardinals on Sunday at Busch Stadium. In his first series against the Cardinals since being traded to Boston, Contreras had six hits and drove in six runs as the Red Sox won two of the three games in the series.

Jordan Walker homered again for the Cardinals, his seventh in the first 15 games of the season, which leads the majors. The last Cardinal with more homers in the first 15 games was Albert Pujols with 10 in 2006.

The homestand will continue tonight with the first of three games against the Cleveland Guardians. Matthew Liberatore will get the start.
