WEDNESDAY, AUG. 12, 2026 

Ryne Stanek inherited a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the eighth inning on Tuesday night and got out of the inning unscathed, sending the Cardinals to a 2-0 win over the Phillies at Busch Stadium. Stanek got a first-to-home-to-first double play and a fly out, protecting a 1-0 lead. Everson Pereira homered in the bottom of the eighth for the insurance run. Riley O'Brien earned his 30th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Kyle Leahy will get the start today in the final game of the series.
