Game Report: Sabres 4, Blues 3 (shootout)

The Blues rallied from a 3-1 deficit to send their game to overtime Sunday night in Buffalo before falling to the Sabres in a shootout.

Goals by David Perron in the second period and Brayden Schenn in the third period pulled the Blues into a 3-3 tie.

In the shootout, goalie Jake Allen allowed goals on two of the Sabres’ three shots while the Blues got a goal from Tyler Bozak but both Perron and Ryan O’Reilly failed to score on their shot attempts against former Blues goalie Carter Hutton.

Allen allowed three goals on 34 shots in the game while Hutton stopped 30 of 33 shots.

Looking ahead: The Blues return home on Tuesday night to host the Edmonton Oilers.
