Having an extra skater proved to be a good situation for the Blues against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night at Enterprise Center.
Three power play goals sent the Blues to a 5-2 victory.
Brayden Schenn scored one of those goals, and also scored a second goal to increase his team-leading total to eight for the season.
The only negative for the Blues was an upper-body injury suffered by Vladimir Tarasenko. He left the game in the first period and did not return.
The other power play goals came from Vince Dunn and Alex Pietrangelo. Robert Thomas scored the other goal for the Blues.
Looking ahead: The Blues will be in Boston on Saturday night to play the Bruins for the first time since defeating them last June in the Stanley Cup Final.
