Game Report: Bruins 3, Blues 0
The stakes were not nearly as high Saturday night as the last time the Blues played the Bruins in Boston, which was good for the Blues.
In their first game in Boston since the Blues won game seven of the Stanley Cup Final last June, the Bruins scored a goal in each period to earn a 3-0 victory over the Blues.
Tuukka Rask stopped all 26 shots to earn the shutout.
The Blues were without Vladimir Tarasenko, who did not make the trip after suffering an upper-body injury in Thursday night’s game. He also will not play on Sunday in Detroit.
Two of Boston’s goals were shorthanded goals, coming when the Blues were on a power play. Jordan Binnington stopped 21 of Boston’s 24 shots.
Looking ahead: The Blues play in Detroit on Sunday.
